I Have a 58.33% in Algebra - Should I Have to Take This Test?I have a 58.33% in algebra and it's not helping me in school. I want to get an advanced degree in Math but I can't because of my lack of math skills. I can barely understand a lesson in class.A good math teacher should be able to help a student like me who has such poor math skills. And I'm not the only one that has a problem with algebra. Many students suffer from this problem in school. So do many teachers.The school district tried to make it easier for me in my algebra class. They were willing to let me take a test that would measure my math skills. But they told me that this test was not for everyone. They told me that it was meant for students who had a 58.33% in algebra.Why should the school make this test mandatory for me to take? Why should they allow me to be helped by a teacher that doesn't know how to help me? I want to get an advanced degree in Math and I need to succeed in school.Why is the school allowing a ba d test to decide if I should get help or not? This kind of test was only made for kids with a very high grade in algebra. It should never be made for a low grade student.When I was younger, my mom always said that we needed a good tutor to help us with our math and science classes. But I was never one of those who had a really good grasp of these subjects. So when I got the test in algebra, I thought it was so unfair.I want to use this type of test to see who I am and how much I can help other people. I don't want to know how high I'm going to go up on the test. I want to know how to help someone who has a high grade in math.If you're a student who has a 58.33% in math, the school district should consider making this type of math test optional.
